Dr. Diana Heineken grew up in Redlands, CA to a family of dental professionals, where she watched her parents build their practices with genuine care for their patients and community. She immersed herself into dentistry in college where she worked part-time as a dental assistant. Both the technical and interpersonal skills in the dental office came easily to her. Moreover, after working for a pediatric dentist, and then helping her mom run her practice, Dr. Heineken really fell in love with the profession.
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California Irvine, she headed to Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where she received her master's degree, as well as her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. She has since brought her dental expertise to beautiful San Diego, where she provides quality care and strives to educate her patients on the connection between oral and systemic health. She has been a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the dental society as well as being a CDA Delegate for the State Dental Society. She also provides free dental care as part of her volunteer work with Veterans Village and other charitable organizations.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Heineken loves spending time with her family, including her husband, their young son, and their 2 dogs. A fitness fanatic, she has ran 15 half-marathons, 1 full marathon, and a Spartan Beast race, all within the last 8 years. Chances are, if she’s not working, she’s working out on her Peloton, or going out for hikes with the family.

Dr. Ho-Yin Leung grew up in Southern California where he attended Bishop Amat High School (La Puente, CA). Dr. Leung became a periodontist because he felt that was the best way he could help patients improve their smiles through treatment and prevention. He is a highly skilled and knowledgeable periodontist who believes in delivering the highest quality dental care to his patients. He is experienced in all phases of modern periodontal therapy and dental implant placement, using advanced techniques and materials. Dr. Leung pursued his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and Master of Science in Biological Sciences at University of California, San Diego between 2001 and 2007. He, then, completed his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2014 and his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery in 2017 at UCLA School of Dentistry.
He became a Board Certified Periodontist in 2018. Dr. Leung has taught at the university graduate level in both UCSD and UCLA as a graduate student and a resident for many years. He is currently a clinical adjunct faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry mentoring future dentists. Dr. Leung had also involved with numerous research effort and co-authored articles in peer-review journals while he was a research associates at UCSD, Caltech, and UCLA. Dr. Leung is married to Dr. Marie Dizon (Pediatric Dentist) and enjoys spending time with his children, Ayden and Adelynn.

Dr. Heineken is dedicated to making a positive impact on her community, and often spends her free time volunteering with various organizations. She has donated her time and expertise to Veteran's Village, Give Kids a Smile, and CDA Cares to provide quality free dental care to veterans, underprivileged children, and everyone in between.
